Tim has served on the WCHS Board since 2001 and served as President for the two years during this last term and three years in the previous term.  Tim is currently serving on the Finance, Legislative and Negotiating Committees and has served on the Health Insurance Sub-Committee.

 

Tim acheived "Master Board Member" status with the Illinois Association of School Boards and has maintained this status since 2003.  This is a recognition by the IASB of outstanding efforts by a board member to obtain continuing education relative to boardsmanship and school issues.

 

 

Tim has been very active at the Crossrooads United Methodist Church of Washington, serving on many different committees.  Tim has previously chaired the Finance, Pastor/Parish Relations Committees and served as the Chairman of the Administrative Council.

 

After serving his term on the District 52 Board of Education, Tim continued to serve his community by chairing the referendum campaign to build a new middle school for District 52.  In May of 2002, he was named a "Friend of Education" by the District 52 Board of Education in appreciation for his efforts.

 

 

Tim is a CPA, and a partner with Gorenz & Associates, Ltd. in Peoria.  Tim's firm specializes in auditing school districts, auditing over 80 local education agencies in 2012.  Tim has become a featured speaker at the annual school district auditors' conference and has developed strong relationships with the Finance Division staff at the State Board of Education.  Tim has also served for over 19 years on the Governmental Report Review Committee for the Illinois CPA Society, and spent three years as the chairman of that group.
